V5 Natural Gut
Our regular V5 natural gut strings are ideal for the beginner to intermediate level player. Although many advanced players find extreme success with our newest V5 strings, it performs best at lower tensions and is more durable under 55lbs. Very few strings on the natural gut market will give you the same type of firm, controlled, on court hitting with exceptional touch. The reason? Our V5 strings are more of a lower tension string and a very pure gut with only a small amount of resin coating. If you are looking for the purist, 100% natural gut feeling string then this is the one for you. It is very soft, making it ideal for protecting the arms. Please keep in mind though that for reliability and durability purposes, our V5 15/16G's perform best at 35-55lbs, and the 17G tension best 35-54lbs and 18G 30-48lbs. Of course, you are welcome to try higher tensions, but this particular string performs best at lower tensions. You may find our V5 string has some yellowish tinting to it which actually means the strings are fresher and in their purest state. We simply do not bleach or remove much of the "natural" impurities in order to maintain the best, true natural gut feel and performance. Our V5 string are more course and notchy which is ideal for spin and under-spin enhancement capabilities. Again, the most important thing to keep in mind with our V5 strings are to keep the tension low and take your time stringing. If you do this, you will most likely fall in love with them while saving extra money.

V5(+) Versus V5 String Life and Storage Expectancy
Our coated V5 strings are okay to store at room temperature for up to a year or longer. Our coated V5 strings have a dynamic resin weather resilient coating. Though, our coated V5 strings are not as tightly wound as our higher grade and even greater feel softer serosa ProV5(+) strings, our regular V5 model strings will still last longer because they have a dynamic coating for increased durability. Both model strings really should be used within 3-5 months.
